The Polka Brothers
New York City’s Polka Sensations
The Polka Brothers are a four man band of young polka lovers, out to spread the joy of polka, one wild party at a time. They’re a well-oiled polka machine, boasting a fearless repertoire that includes classic polka favorites, pop and rock gone polka, and unforgettable originals. They love hooking the audience in with lively polka covers of songs they already know, rocking it on a traditional polka they may not, and taking it home with a fun original they’ll be singing for the rest of the evening – at least…
At first listen, the seemingly foreign tone of the music transports listeners to familiar polka homelands; Germany, Poland, Czechoslovakia, and others… You’ve stepped out of your day and taken that trip you’ve always dreamed of. With “The Polka Brothers” guests are singing today’s homeland melodies; R. Kelly, Weezer, Lady Gaga, The Rolling Stones etc. So grab a beer, sing along and experience the meaning of the old adage “No one ever leaves a polka party without a smile on their face.”
The Band is Military friendly. Military friendly entertainer. Entertained our Troops at undisclosed locations in Southwest Asia.
EMAIL from base:
Shell,
Just wanted to let you know The Polka Brothers were fantastic. To be honest,we weren’t sure how it would go over but the show was great and very well
received by all. Mixing traditional Oktoberfest music combined with pophits set to Polka tunes was impressive and worked great for our military audience during their impressive 4 hour show. They also brought in humor and changed-up some of the lyrics to match the audience/local conditions….great move. I can/will highly recommend them for other AOR shows/bases….
I’ll forward on to my successor this information along with a breakdown/review of all the acts we had come through ADAB this summer. The Polka Brothers are in the top section and I’ve suggested to our leadership possibly bringing them back for a Maifest in May…..or of course next September for Oktoberfest 2017.
It was great working with you over these past 5 months and I’ll be sending out an introductory email with my replacement’s contact information so you two can coordinate future shows.
Thanks,
Chris
